There is no better garage organizing system than Monkey Bars. Period. I’m not getting paid to say that. I just really, really love this product. Why? Let me count the ways.

1. The right answer

Monkey Bars are uniquely designed to address the specific organizing challenges that a garage brings. They start with a very sturdy 16” to 32” shelf. There are two distinctly different functions above and below this shelf. Above, the shelf is used for long term storage, for items that you don’t need to access on a regular basis. Under the shelf is a generously sized bracket, which also supports bars and a customizable system of hooks and other fixtures, for those awkwardly shaped and awkwardly sized objects, you tend to find in a garage. These objects include bicycles, golf bags, garden tools, skis, lawn chairs or anything else that doesn’t fit well on a shelf. This video explains, in further detail.

2. Strength

A four foot length of Monkey Bars shelf supports 1,000 pounds (half a ton!) above it, so there’s no worry about overloading these shelves. All the brackets, bars, and hooks underneath are made with industrial grade steel and are powder coated for a tough exterior, that looks great. Depending on which hook is used, each one can hold from 30 to 100 pounds.

3. Space saving

One of the best parts of the video above, is where it shows that, with Monkey Bars, you can store the same number of items in ONE THIRD of the space of a DIY system, that you construct from supplies you might buy at Home Depot, FOR THE SAME PRICE. Bear in mind, that doesn’t include your labor, so the DIY solution is not only less space efficient, but actually MORE expensive. Monkey Bars also saves on floor space, because, unlike standing shelves, they lift all these heavy, awkward items  off the floor. This not only makes it easier to open car doors, but also makes it easier to clean the floor.

4. Customization

Monkey Bars offer a variety of hooks and accessories, that can be adjusted as your needs change. One of my favorites is the ball bag. This item actually makes it fun to put balls away. I’m a strong believer that when it’s fun, it gets done. Also, the bucket holder is ingenious. It’s the type of item you don’t realize just useful it is, until you have it. Check out all of their hooks and accessories here.

5. Cost

Garage storage systems can get very expensive, but Monkey Bars’ price is reasonable, about a third of the cost of other brands.  It costs just $65 a foot, installed. The minimum of 4 feet, then, is just $260. Of course the hooks and accessories, that you choose according to your needs, are extra. Yes, you will probably need more than 4 feet of Monkey Bars, but remember, whatever the length is, it is cheaper that building a comparable system on your own. No other garage system on the market can make that claim.

6. Service

Not only is Monkey Bars an excellent product, but it is also an excellent service. If your garage sounds like it would benefit from this product, don’t hesitate to give your local dealer a call.
